A husband-and-wife wedding photography team from Much Marcle scooped the top honour at a prestigious national awards ceremony.

John and Jill English, better known as English Rose Weddings, took the ‘Best Wedding Photographer’ title at the UK Wedding Awards.

They received their award at a glamorous ceremony in London on Friday, January 22, hosted by TV star Jenny Faulkner.

The award caps a fine year for the couple, who have seen their business go from strength to strength despite the tough economic climate.

Mr English said: “We are lucky to be a small part of what is such a special day for each and every couple. The award is as much for our brides as it is for us.”
